FUNBUGS PLAYCENTRE The idea of an indoor playground for children was the starting platform for Dean’s involvement in this project and he couldn’t wait to start work. Dean was asked to create a name and branding aimed to reflect a fun, happy, quality, clean and memorable image. Funbugs was the word they were looking for, it was memorable, original and was the perfect direction for the businesses branding. The bugs needed to be the focus, they had potential to be a fantastic way of marketing the brand to the intended audience. When the Fun Bugs entered the market their profile grew and additional promotions were developed such as the “Name the Funbugs” competition. Promoting the business using the bugs as the Funbugs identity has proven its effectiveness and really made an impact on the community. Along with all of the design for the branding and advertising, Dean hand painted four themed murals in the party rooms. The challenge of the scale and new medium resulted in an amazing outcome. Not only was the goal achieved but Dean developed many new skills and furthered his range of illustration abilities, allowing him to offer a wider range of solutions to his clients. |
